| Eewwwww. Kijiji looks very ugly today, what a mess they've made of it. How much do you want to bet they'll ad forums in the new year? I bet they were just cleaning house. And I agree with Wind, it looks alot like Craigslist. They had to send me a link to 'manage my ads', because the link isn't working on their site? How stupid.
If I filter to my city to pets, dogs, breeders, there is nothing! My ad still will not come up! But you better believe there are hundreds of shelter and owner ads showing up! Kijiji was never really popular in my city anyway, I always get more responses to my Oodle ad anyway.
Hey, let's start a list of friendly free and fee ad websites! Oodle.com free Hoobly.com free/fee breederinfocenter.com free freedoglistings.com free puppyfind.com free/fee

| Yeah, they banned me from my first ad, so I just used a different email address, same ad, and it worked! No rhyme or reason to their madness...I don't pay for my free Puppyfind ad, so what most people see is very brief. So you know where you enter the puppy name and that becomes the ad title? Well, my puppies are all named 'Oodle com'

| I geuss since we aren't on the Kijiji board anymore we can freely discuss advertising places.
I used to advertise anywhere and everywhere but recently I have started to develope some reputation in my breed and get found by people looking for specific bloodlines. Nextdaypets used to be main selling place but it is a bit more expensive than the others if you do the ad featuring. I have been able to drop nextdaypets which is good since it is saving me alot of money.
I now use
puppyfind terrifpets freedoglistings.com (free free free and works fairly well for the price) breeders.net (small annual fee) puppysites.com this one has proved to be very productive for the small annual fee you pay. It's website redirects to my site rank nearly with puppyfind.
I have a K9stud but I don't know if I will renew that one when it comes up in December.
I put one on Kijiji just because its free and just hit the renew button every two months but don't keep up too much with the ad its self.
Last but not least my actual website does most of my individual puppy advertising.
On places like puppyfind, I hardly ever have to put individual puppy ads up. Now I don't break rules and advertise a whole litter in one ad, but I sort of just advertise "litters coming" and usually have several people asking and waiting. If I have an individual puppy on there, it is usually just one or so that didn't picked from the waiting list. Waiting lists also didn't used to work for me but when you have really good bloodlines matched up with variety of color, people will wait. I have a lady waiting for pups from a certain mating from a female who is still just a puppy. (not being bred as a puppy) She doesn't care how long she has to wait, she is sold on the pedigree alone. The female to be bred still has show a campaign to go through.

| All my ads have my website listed, so it's hard to tell which people are finding first. I've added a 'what ad did you see' question to my contact page, but I guess I better add it to my 'pup application' and 'waiting list' pages. The latter two pages are where most of my inquiries come from.
I have many responses to my Oodle ad. Some just inquiring and some have become customers. The freedoglistings and breederinfocenter ads also generate serious customers. I really like the beederinfocenter website too, lots of fun information. I haven't gotten any responses directly from Hoobly. I've gotten one response from the Puppyfind ad in the last month.

| My website host has data stats and it has lists of where people have clicked on my site and how many times it has been clicked from that site. So far this month, 85 people have clicked on my site from puppyfind,18 times from breeders.net, 13 times from terrificpets, it will show me all places my website is listed including this forum.
It also tells me what keywords/phrases were used in search engines that resulted in me being found and what search engines are being used, how many times each page has been viewed, how many unique visitors daily, what countries they are from. Useful info.

| Wow! That Puppyfind is really working for you, maybe I will upgrade my ad there... My website is very new, not enough stats on it yet. It doesn't even list the hits coming from Oodle, etc, even though customers have told me that is where they came from. I figure I've got to give it a few more months, but maybe I will send a question to the yahoo web host... | |

| Did anyone notice the hits count is also gone on Kijiji? I edited a add and its now delayed... and have to enter in the words just like CL to even edit.. how stupid. My adds were under Little rock arkansas, and now are under Memphis TN...... talk about stupid. Yep i will stick with puppy find, less hassel, and more bang for my $ edit adds as many times as you wish and they instantly go to page 1, dont even have to change anything in your add, basically just view it in edit mode and post..pooof..page1.
heres another HINT... post in your add places(towns/cities/states) that are close to you and your add will get picked up by google, yahoo etc.

| My website also has stats that tell me where people are coming to my link from. I even got a visit from your website poodles& I really really like breeders.net I advertise all my pups under the poodle category. I dont have enough pups on the ground to pay the annual fee for puppyfind but I will sign up for the 1 month thing if I have pups that arent sold by age 8weeks. there are also a number of free ad sites I use but these 2 are the ones I get most traffic from Kijiji, I check back every now and again but I am not wasting my time posting there until they get their mess together | |

| Kijiji sucks, they keep deleteing my ads for no reason. I email them and keep asking why was my ad deleted this time and they put it back up. Like it really matters, as I seldom ever get any calls from it anyway. The only people who go to kijiji are ones looking for free or cheap pups. | |
