Giant Schnoodle puppies coming soon!

I am sooooo excited! I just found out today that my AKC Giant Schnauzer is expecting some babies!!

She came into heat rather suddenly and I had arranged for an AKC Giant Schnauzer stud. Then I noticed my AKC Standard Poodle male mounting her. Being a larger breed I seriously did not think he would reach maturity until abt 18months but surely not before 1yr old! But within a week of going into heat she was suddenly NOT IN HEAT.

I thought it was strange as I have never had a female do that before. I was the same time I read Redyre's post on Kijiji and it gave me the idea that HEY maybe she bred with my poodle?? (I had never seen them tied)

Well just in case I have been feeding her as though she was pregnant and I have been supplementing vitamins.

Sooooo today she had a sonogram and she is definitely PREGNANT!! She is expecting 6 - 9 babies

That is awesome! Giant schnoodles, can't wait to see them. How far along was she when you had the sonogram?

It was yesterday! Guestimated at 5.5 weeks but not more than 6 weeks. We dont have long!
