I breed Bull Terriers and Dogue De Bordeauxs. All of my girls are coloured. I have an older white stud and a young tri coloured stud. Love me some Bullies!!
In my Bordeauxs I like the deep reds and Mahogany (sp).
Of course, the conformation and health rank way before the color though!

Awesome! He does have some nice dogs.
I have a lot of European lines and I resently came back with some amazing Mexican and South African lines to put a more prominent head on them. I have a litter now that I really wanted a little girl out of, but I only got boys . I'm breeding my double bred Quest Giancanna girl to a CH bred stud out of Mexico next, in hopes of keeping two girls from this litter.

Do you show any in AKC? I had wanted to show her but there is hardly ever a chance to major around me so I am not sure It is worth the money. Not many Bull Terrier s in Ohio.

I want to find a male with a nice head to breed with my girl also. She has nice bone but I want to see a more curved snout.

I haven't jumped into AKC yet, I show a lot of UKC and some of the smaller registries. Not much for the snobby atmosphere at the AKC shows. If you haven't noticed yet, we have a breed with "A LOT" of snobs. Even trying to talk about health issues is like pulling teeth with some of the ppl!
I got lucky and found a man close to me that had an outside line from mine with the linage I was looking for. I also drove to GA and purchased a fantasticly breed boy this year. Im anxious to see how he matures!

I know that from the outside there seems to be A LOT of AKC show snobs but really the couple here and there just stick out like sore thumbs and all the nice people get a foot note.

Yes, the snobs exist but I have made several friends once I started showing up to a few. Many even have different breeds but for what ever reason we wound up becoming good acquaintances at the shows. We need more open minded people like you Gon to help out number the snobs and make other new people feel more at home.

I will be showing a Frenchie at Ozark Kennel Club show next weekend and am told there will probably be a "snob" there with a dog that has competed against the dog I am showing numerous times and she gets made every time her dog doens't win. Oh tootsie well, she'll just have to get over it if we do win. I will smile, take my ribbon and go on my merry way. If we don't, I will still smile and be on my merry way.

Im sorry Wind, I didnt mean to black pot. I have just spoken to so many that try to talk down, when my dogs are better bred and just as good. But you are right, I should go and stand my ground.

I am showing my Male in November in Tallmadge Ohio and then in Cleveland again December. There are some Frenchie people who are snobbs but there are some who are not. I am new to AKC showing and I found a woman who showed me the ropes. I do it for fun and if my dog wins then that is great and if not thats OK too because to me he is a Champion.

But deep down I have to admit I want an AKC champion Frenchie. I have had to start with what I can afford and am moving on from there. They want 3 to 4 thousand around here for a top notch, almost guaranteed you can finish her girl then you have to give up two litters. That is a little rich for me so I am trying to breed my own. My group is also the larger Frenchies so I always get stares. People around me all have 18 to 20 pounders and I have 25 to 28 pounders. I have to say no spine issues with mine. I got my girls in Oklahoma and there seems to be more larger Frenchies out west.

Darlene. Have you seen the chunk of dog that Perry Payson was handling at #1? Robobull Fablehaft Im On Fire. He ain't no lil guy. They probably have to really watch his weight. He is back down to #3 in standings though.

We do use a handler for the AKC sometimes. And she doesn't mind answering questions you have about the shows and can also tell whose nice and who ain't, even the nice and not nice judges. Her and her husband are also officers at the Ozark Kennel Club which is helps us if we have a question about setting ours up.

Gon, there are alot of AKC shows out in Oklahoma that I may make it to someday. No guarantee's but let me know if you ever go to one I might see if I'm not already too broke to go. I was at Grove, OK back in April.

Hello all thats so cool the breeder I got my Dogue from has some mexican champion sired bull terriers and south american champion sired some really nice ones too...

What breeder did you get him from? I want to breed my Female Bull Terrier but finding someone close is a challenge.
